Just had a piece which is tasty but then I read the ingredients and: Red dye No. 3 (erythrosine) and red dye 4012are synthetic food colorings that have been found to cause cancer in research animals. Red dye 40 contains benzidine, a cancer-causing chemical2. FD&C Red No. 3, also known as Red Dye No. 3 and Red Dye 3, has been banned by the FDA for use in cosmetics due to its cancer-causing properties3. Red Dye No. 3 has also been banned by the FDA for many uses due to studies that showed it can cause cancer in laboratory mice4. Erythrosine, also known as Red 3, has been linked to an increased risk of thyroid tumors in male rats5. I threw the bag away such a shame after boasting the lower sugar content.
I have been trying lots of different licorice to find my favorite. This is my favorite brand by far! It still retains the taste of licorice with the added flavor. A thing that other brands fail to do.
Love this Licorice... the blue raspberry flavor is exceptional
